A brilliant start to the season which has seen them beat Arsenal by 3-0 at the Emirates stadium,Aston Villa look to stay fourth with Martin O'Neil looking to maintain momentum.
O'Neil said,"Sunderland are pulling themselves together. They are strong and have plenty of choices throughout the squad.
"They are getting a bit of confidence together and it has all the ingredients of a good game.
"It was a hard game for us last season and we will have to be well prepared."

Sunderland will be without midfielder Steed Malbranque, who is suspended after picking up five yellow cards.
Phil Bardsley has recovered from a virus, but the game will come too soon for George McCartney (foot) and keeper Craig Gordon (ankle).
Villa travel to the Stadium of Light with no fresh injury worries.
Long-term absentee John Carew has returned to training following a back injury but is not yet fit enough for first-team action.
