It's Gameweek 22 and it's Liverpool who top the Premiership table leading Manchester United by 2 points. But United have a game in hand and as Manchester United play away at the Reebok stadium on Saturday, they can go top before Liverpool playing Everton in the Mersisyde Derby. After outdoing Chelsea 3-0 and beating Wigan who themselves put in a courageous performance,United would be expected to go top by beating Bolton.United have Rooney and Evra injured so Tevez and John O'Shea may start.Bolton's Gary Cahill (hip) may play and Gretar Steinsson has served a ban, but Kevin Nolan (ban), Gavin McCann (toe) and Johan Elmander (hamstring) are out.
On-loan Zenit St Petersburg defender Sebastien Puygrenier is in the squad after getting international clearance and new man Ariza Makukula may play.
As for Chelsea, the host Stoke city who drew with Liverpool,0-0,at Anfield.A shock result but one which reminded Liverpool that the game is played on the feild and not on paper.Stoke would look to do much more of the same and sneak out a reslut at Stamford Brigde and if that does happen,I can assure you, there would be celebrations in Manchester and Liverpool. With Ricardo Fuller suspended and Salif Daio returning back after a back spasm,Stoke would have to play very well to get anything out of this game.Having signed the former Everton and Southampton man,James Beattie from Sheffield United,Stoke pose some threat up front.Chelsea have Joe Cloe injured after the English winger got injured against Southend in the FA Cup clash when Chelsea ran out clear 4-1 winners.Otherwise,a full strength Chelsea team eantain Stoke.
Liverpool, the leaders entertain Everton at Anfeild.Everton will be without key midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who is suspended. But with Arteta in form,Everton manager,David Moyes feels an upset could be on the cards.
Up front, Everton are still without long-term injury victims James Vaughan (knee), Aiyegbeni Yakubu (Achilles) and Louis Saha (hamstring). Liverpool could find themselves in the second spot even before they play. But with Torres back the spirits are going to be high and Liverpool fans would want the spanish to be among the goals. As for the Everton supporters,Tim Cahill is 2 goals shy of his 100 goals for Everton,so,Evertonians would hope he completes his century for Everton.
